Temp of the Year!
08 July 2010

Jobshop UK has awarded Maria Wilson the sort after accolade of Temp Of The Year. Maria’s extensive experience of working with the NHS as an Administrative General Manager and Policy & Performance Improvement Manager has proved invaluable in her temporary assignments in medical environments with Jobshop UK.

Maria said: “I started temping in 2006 when my son started school. Initially I was only able to work school hours and whilst most agencies told me they weren’t interested, Jobshop welcomed me with open arms. Temping is ideal for me as it allows me the flexibility to work when I want and suits my lifestyle. I have met some lovely people. In my experience temps are a very welcome addition to the workforce and I have found that with each assignment I have learned something new”.

In recognition for her outstanding hard work, Frances Miles, Director of Jobshop UK and Jayne Harding, Consultant Temporary Staff at Jobshop UK awarded Maria with a certificate, Clarins vouchers and flowers. Jobshop UK has accreditation with Buying Solutions, a government procurement agency tasked with leveraging public sector purchasing power. Under its framework agreement, the agency is accredited for providing public sector customers with access to temporary and fixed term staff for Non-Medical, Non-clinical framework agreement.

One of the many Buying Solutions’ public sector clients nominating Maria for the award said: “Maria is an excellent temp. She is adaptable and very willing to help in any way”.

Similar comments were made another Buying Solutions public sector official that said, “Maria was very flexible and worked extremely well under changing circumstances. She picked up information very quickly and worked very effectively”.

Maria was chosen from over 400 temporary staff working for the agency during 2009/10 using feedback from clients categorising commitment, loyalty, flexibility and reliability. In every instance Maria was awarded top marks.

"As one of the busiest recruitment agencies in the area, we ensure our temps have excellent skills and provide a first rate service to clients”, said Frances Miles, Director of Jobshop UK. “We are always striving to bring our local employers the very best candidates, whether it is for temporary or permanent positions. Maria’s abilities fully illustrate the high standards we seek in our candidates - good qualifications and experience, flexibility towards our client's needs, professionalism and a "can-do" approach to any situation.”
